Massage oils
Currently in the Aromatherapy World there are no
Fair Trade Organisations, for an industry which can at times be just as
exploitative in the production of essential oils and carrier oils as
sugar and coffee can be in the real world.
You can be assured that I only buy from suppliers who have a self imposed fair trade policy. Where they
exist they buy from co-operatives, rather than multinational owned and
controlled plantations and farms. They actively monitor their suppliers to
ensure that throughout the chain exploitation isn't happening and
importantly ensure the land the oils are being produced from isn't
being exploited. Working direct with the farms & plantations
enables us to ensure they are being treated fairly and cuts the
middlemen out, so that I am able to offer you the best quality, ethically
produced products throughout my range of treatments at reasonable prices.
SpaRitual Nail Products
I am proud to be using the SpaRitual range of Elixirs and Lacquers, who are committed
to creating eco-friendly products and packaging perfectly
crafted for the enlightened consumer. All of their bottles are made from recycled glass (as opposed to just 'recyclable'), their colours come from water-eco-friendly soy-based ink, and all their paper based marketing & packaging is FSC certified. The products use vegan ingredients
from around the world, including many specially sourced
and selected plant essences that are all either wildcrafted
OR organic. SpaRitual is constantly monitoring
sustainability issues and strives to be on the cutting edge
of environmental awareness. Finally, SpaRitual products are all certified DBP free, Formaldehyde free and Touluene free, so you can be safe in the knowledge that you are safe from harmful carcinogenics associated with some other brands.
Raw Gaia Facial Products
I am currently experimenting with Raw Gaia's 100% vegan, organic, cold-pressed, products in my facial treatments.
|
All Raw Gaia's products are certified vegan by
The Vegan Society. They have not been tested on animals, in
addition, their suppliers have been carefully screened to ensure that they do
not carry out tests on animals either. |
| |
Raw Gaia is made using only organic and/or wildcrafted
ingredients. As much as possible, the raw ingredients are sourced through
fairtrade, to ensure that growers receive a fair price for their work.

| Moreover, they are the first (and as far as we
are aware) only skin care company in the world to have adopted an
"ethical marketing" approach to beauty and ageing. You can click here to find out more. |
